Eight women recently graduated as artists. Regardless of their discipline, age or ambitions, they now have to switch gears and go through a metamorphosis: from student to professional artist. Routines, places of residence and working conditions change. Maybe even their view on life will change...

Shifting gears not only means changing gears, but also: joining in, seeking connection. What issues do these eight diverse artists bring together? Do they filter certain social themes and how do they shape them? Does this connection between them perhaps provide a certain cross-section of contemporary art?
